How do I use Network Nicknames?

A Network Nickname is a custom label that helps you distinguish between multiple networks in your eero App. For example, if you have a guest house with its own network, you can name one "Guest House" and the other "Main House" — even if both share the same SSID.

How do I set up Network Nicknames?

To set up a Network Nickname:

  1. Open the eero App, and tap the Settings tab in the bottom-right corner

  2. Tap Nickname & location

  3. Set a nickname for your network

  4. Tap Save when you’re ready

How do I switch between networks?

You'll see each network's nickname underneath its SSID. To switch between networks, follow the steps below.

From the Home tab:

  1. Tap the Home tab in the bottom-left corner of the eero App

  2. At the top, tap the arrow to the right of the name of the network you’re currently viewing

  3. Tap the network you’d like to view

From the Settings tab:

  1. Return to the Settings tab

  2. Tap the (more options icon) in the top-right corner

  3. Tap Switch network

  4. Tap the network you’d like to view
