What is Partner Account Linking?

Partner Account Linking lets you connect your eero network to partner apps using OAuth 2.0 for single sign-on. You control what information each partner can access about your account and network.

Which partners can I link to my eero network?

We have two partner integrations: Amazon Alexa and Thread Networking. Learn more about Thread in this article.

Thread partners:

What information do Thread partners see?

Thread device partners will detect a Thread-capable eero network over the local network. In their setup experience, they can prompt you to link your eero account using eero or Amazon login. Once linked, the partner is able to:

  • Determine whether Thread is on/off

  • Turn Thread on

  • Access Thread network information and credentials including the Thread network name, unique identifier, and network passkey

Thread partners cannot see any additional information such as connected non-Thread devices, wifi passwords, or other wifi network and user information.

How do I unlink a partner from eero?

Each partner will provide a simple means to unlink from eero.

You can unlink from Nanoleaf using the below process:

  1. Open the Nanoleaf app

  2. Tap More in the bottom right

  3. Tap the cloud icon to go to the Nanoleaf cloud tab

  4. Tap Disconnect on eero under the Connections section

Do I need to link Amazon Alexa if I use Amazon Login?

No. Logging into eero using your Amazon account replaces the need to link from Alexa.
