How do I set up eero with Telstra NBN?
To use eero with Telstra NBN, you need to configure your modem settings and connect eero as your router. Telstra provides internet service via Australia's National Broadband Network (NBN), which works with third-party routers like eero.
What modem settings do I need to configure?
Configure these settings on your modem regardless of your NBN connection type:
Internet Connection Type/Protocol: IPoE/DHCP/Automatic
VLAN ID/Tagging: Leave blank (or set to 0)
IP Configuration: Dynamic/obtain IP address automatically
Username/password: Not required
If you're using FTTB/FTTN (Fibre to the Basement/Fibre to the Node), configure these additional settings:
Seamless Rate Adaption (SRA): Enabled
VDSL2 Profile: 17a
G.Vector: Enabled
Non-standard G.Vector: Disabled
G.INP: Enabled
Note: Not all settings may be available on every modem. For compatibility with FTTB/FTTN connections, your modem should support VDSL2 and be purchased in Australia.
How do I configure a modem/router combo?
If you're using a modem/router combo, you can disable its routing features so eero handles all network management:
Log in to your modem at 192.168.0.1
Tap Network on the left

What if I don't want to change my modem settings?
You have two options:
Bridge the eero network: This lets you keep using your modem/router combo, but you'll lose some eero features.
Run both networks separately: If you choose this option, make sure the two networks don't share the same Wi-Fi name and password.
