• Does eero have a PoE switch to power eero PoE 7?

  Yes. eero PoE Gateway is a wired eero router and 10-port PoE+ smart network switch in one device that delivers fast internet and PoE power to devices throughout your home or small business. eero PoE Gateway can support up to six eero PoE 7s. eero PoE 7 is also compatible with third-party PoE switches.

• Do I need to use PoE?

  No. If you would like to use a traditional power supply for eero PoE 7, you can purchase an eero 27W USB-C power adapter from Amazon (sold separately).

• Does eero PoE 7 work as a smart home hub?

  eero PoE 7 makes it easy to connect and manage low-power smart devices. It works directly with Thread and acts as a controller for Matter and Zigbee, giving you simple, centralized control.

• Can I use eero PoE 7 outdoors?

  No, eero PoE 7 is an indoor device only. Instead, take a look at eero Outdoor 7 to extend your indoor wifi network to the outdoors. It meets the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard rating of IP66. With an IP66 rating for protection from dust, rain, and snow, eero Outdoor 7 can safely remain outdoors all year round (tested to operate between -40°F and 131°F).
