How do I fix Xbox NAT issues with eero?

Enable UPnP in your eero app to fix Xbox NAT issues. If your Xbox shows a "Strict" or "Moderate" NAT type, UPnP will resolve most connection problems. To learn more about UPnP, see What advanced features does eero support?

To enable UPnP:

  1. Open the eero App, and tap Settings in the bottom-right corner

  2. Tap Advanced networking

  3. Tap UPnP

  4. Tap the toggle button. The button will turn blue to indicate UPnP is active

If the issue persists, open these ports in your eero App:

  • UDP: 88, 500, 3544, 4500

  • TCP: 80

  • UDP & TCP: 3074, 53

To open these ports, set an IP reservation for your Xbox, then forward each port.  To learn how, see How do I set up port forwarding?
