What does 'network speeds up to 2.3 Gbps' mean?
Network speed represents the combined maximum speeds your eero can handle across all connected devices—both wired and wireless—at the same time.
For example, if you have an eero Pro 6E (2.3 Gbps network speed) and an internet plan of at least 2.3 Gbps, your network can support up to 1 Gbps on wired devices and up to 1.6 Gbps on wireless devices simultaneously.
What speeds do different eero models support?
Other eero models offer different maximum speeds. Check out the chart below for max speeds per eero device:
Maximum combined speeds per eero device
Device | Recommended with ISP speeds up to |
|---|---|
eero PoE 7 | 10 Gbps |
eero PoE 7 | 5 Gbps |
eero 7 | 2.5 Gbps |
eero Outdoor 7 | 2.1 Gbps |
eero Max 7 | 10 Gbps |
eero PoE 6 | 1.6 Gbps |
eero Pro 6E | 2.3 Gbps |
eero 6+ | 1 Gbps |
eero Pro 6 | 1 Gbps |
eero 6 | 900 Mbps |
eero Pro | 1 Gbps |
eero | 550 Mbps |
eero 6 Extender* | 500 Mbps |
Beacon* | 350 Mbps |
*The eero 6 Extender and the eero Beacon don't have Ethernet ports and can only be added to a new or existing eero network.
Why are my actual speeds lower than the maximum?
Your actual speeds will typically be lower than the maximum because of factors like device type, distance from your eero, and whether you're connected wirelessly.
eero uses the latest wifi standards to deliver the speeds you need for streaming, gaming, video calls, and downloads throughout your home—not just in one room.

Internet connection speeds and availability depend on your internet service provider. If your internet service provider doesn't provide you with the maximum supported speed, you won't experience that maximum speed. Maximum network speeds, if applicable, reflect combined supported speeds across wired and wireless clients. Maximum wireless signal rates are derived from IEEE 802.11 standard. Specifications assume wired Ethernet connection. Your experienced speed may vary when connected to an eero device that's configured as a wireless extender. Coverage estimates are based on normal use conditions. Actual range and performance can vary, and maximum supported speeds may not be available to all customers, due to factors such as local regulations (including power limits), network configuration, interference, connected devices, device usage, building materials, and obstructions. Refer to our eero product comparison for more information about eero performance.
