Why does my eero app say "Unable to add eero"?
This message appears when you try to set up a network using an eero model that doesn't have Ethernet ports. eero models without Ethernet ports can't be used as a gateway eero to create a network — they can only extend an existing one.

To set up a new eero network, you need an eero model with an Ethernet port. Your gateway eero must connect to your modem or router through Ethernet.

The following models don't have Ethernet ports and can only be used as wireless extenders:

eero 6 Extender

What can I do with my current eero?
