Why is the LED on my eero flashing yellow?
A flashing yellow LED on your eero usually means the eero isn’t getting enough power. This can happen when you use a USB-C cable or power adapter that isn't approved by eero, when a PoE switch or injector isn't delivering enough power, or when one of the cables is damaged.

What causes a flashing yellow LED?
Your eero monitors the power it receives. If it detects a power source that doesn't meet its requirements, the LED will flash yellow to let you know. Common causes include:
USB-C powered eeros
Using a third-party USB-C cable instead of the one that came with your eero
Using a non-eero power adapter
A damaged or frayed power cable
A loose connection between the cable and the eero or the wall outlet
PoE-powered eeros
A PoE switch or injector that doesn't meet your eero's power requirements
A damaged or loose Ethernet cable
An underpowered or faulty PoE port
How do I fix a flashing yellow LED on a USB-C powered eero?
Check your power cable and adapter for visible damage.
Reconnect your eero using the power adapter included with your eero.
Make sure the cable is firmly plugged into both the eero and the wall outlet.
Try a different wall outlet.
If the LED turns solid white, your eero is connected and working normally. If the LED is still flashing yellow, your power adapter may need to be replaced.
Note: Always use the power adapter and cable included with your eero. Third-party USB-C cables or adapters may not deliver the power levels your eero needs.
How do I fix a flashing yellow LED on a PoE-powered eero?
Check the Ethernet cable for damage or loose connections.
Confirm your PoE switch or injector meets the power requirements for your eero model.
Try a different PoE port on your switch.
