Why is the LED on my eero flashing blue?
A flashing blue LED means your eero is searching for an internet connection. This can happen during initial setup or after a soft reset without an internet connection.
When you'll see a flashing blue LED
During setup
When you first set up your eero, the LED will flash blue. This means it's broadcasting Bluetooth and ready to connect to the eero app.
Once your eero pairs with the app, the LED will turn solid blue briefly, then transition to solid white when everything is connected and working.
After a soft reset with no internet
If you soft reset your eero without an active internet connection, the LED will flash blue while it tries to reconnect. Once your internet connection is restored, the LED should return to solid white.
What to do if your eero is flashing blue
If you're setting up for the first time
Open the eero app.
Follow the on-screen instructions to add your eero.
Once paired, the LED will turn solid white.
If your eero started flashing blue after a soft reset
Check that your modem is online and working.
Check that the Ethernet cable between your modem and gateway eero is securely connected.
Restart your modem by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in.
Wait 2–3 minutes for your modem to fully restart.
Open the eero app and follow the prompts to reconnect your eero.
Note: If your internet connection is down, your eero will continue to flash blue until the connection is restored.
