  1. A note about children

This Site is intended for use by adults over the age of 18. We do not intentionally gather Personal Data from Site visitors who are minors (and our Services are not directed at minor children). If you’re under the age of 18, you may use this Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

  2. Types of data we collect

“Personal Data” means data that allows someone to identify or contact you, including, for example, your name, address, telephone number, email address, as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the foregoing data, and may also include IP addresses, headers, firmware data, or clickstream data (collectively “Site Data”), to the extent that such data is associated with or linked to data that allows someone to identify or contact you.

We aim to ensure that any Personal Data we have collected is accurate, complete and current as required for the purposes for which the information is used. However, we require your assistance to help us. If we have Personal Data about you that is not accurate, please let us know at the contact information provided above.

    1. Information you provide to us

We may collect Personal Data from you, such as your first name, last name, email, town, city, and telephone number(s) when you create an account to purchase a Product from us on our Site (“Site Account”). When you order our Products on our Site, we, or our payment processors, will collect all information necessary to complete the transaction, including your name, phone number, credit card information, billing information and delivery information. This information may be shared with third parties who help process and fulfil your purchases. If you use our configuration recommendation tool (the “Quiz”), we will collect information you provide about the physical layout of your home and the identity of your Internet Service Provider.

If you provide us feedback or contact us via email, we will collect your name and email address, as well as any other content included in the email, in order to send you a reply. When you participate in one of our surveys, we may collect additional profile information. We may also collect Personal Data at other points in our Site that state that Personal Data is being collected.

    2. Information collected via technology
      • Information collected by our servers

To make our Site and Services more useful to you, our servers (which may be hosted by a third-party service provider) collect information from you, including your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address (a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet, which may vary from session to session), domain name, and/or a date/time stamp for your visit.

      • Log files

As is true of most websites and applications, our Site will gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type, ISP, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and mobile device identifier or manufacturer data. We use this information to provide the Services, analyse trends, administer the Site, track users’ movements around the Site, gather demographic information about our user base as a whole, and better tailor our Services to our users’ needs. For example, some of the information may be collected so that when you visit the Site or the Services again, it will recognise you and the information could then be used to serve advertisements and other information appropriate to your interests.

      • Cookies & Pixel Tags

Like many online services, we use cookies to collect information. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing the website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Site. This type of information is collected to make the Site more useful to you and to tailor the experience with us to meet your special interests and needs.

In addition, we use “Pixel Tags” (also referred to as clear GIFs, web beacons or web bugs). Pixel Tags are tiny graphic images or snippets of code with a unique identifier, similar in function to Cookies, that are used to track online movements of web users. In contrast to Cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, Pixel Tags are embedded invisibly in web pages. Pixel Tags also allow us to tell whether emails have been opened to ensure that we are sending only messages that are of interest to our users. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to a user.

You can manage your Cookie and web browser Pixel Tag settings by (a) going to our Cookie preferences settings on the site (the “Cookie Controls”) or (b) managing the settings on your browser to delete and disable cookies and other tracking/recording tools (“Browser Settings”) except for the “Do Not Track” browser setting as discussed below.

      • How we otherwise respond to “do not track” signals

We do not currently respond to the “Do Not Track” browser signal in your Browser Settings. Consumers can opt out of tracking on our Site, through the Cookie Controls or the Browser Settings. (To learn more about cookies, clear GIFs/web beacons and related technologies, you may wish to visit https://cookiesandyou.com/).

We permit third-party advertising partners to use Cookies, Pixel Tags and other technology to collect information about your browsing activities over time and across different websites when you use our Site. For example, we use advertising services provided by third-party ad partners, to market our services to you on other websites and online services. Through a process called “retargeting”, each service places a Cookie on your browser when you visit our Site so that they can identify you and serve you ads on other sites around the web based on your browsing activity. To avoid use of this information for advertising by these third-party ad partners, you can use the Cookie Controls, or change your Browser Settings to reject cookies or to notify you when cookies are set, and you could select the “Do Not Track” option on your browser, though we have no control over and cannot confirm whether these third party ad parties honour the Do Not Track browser signal. Additionally, many advertising companies are members of the NAI or DAA and/or provide opt-outs on those industry pages. To learn how to opt out of ad network interest-based advertising in the USA, please visit www.aboutads.info/choices, http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/, and http://preferences-mgr.truste.com/. In the European Union, please visit www.youronlinechoices.eu.

      • Analytics Services

We use third-party analytics services (“Analytics Services”) to help analyse how users use our Site. We use the information we get from “Analytics Services” only to improve our Site and Services. The information generated by the Cookies or other technologies about your use of our Site (the “Analytics Information”) is transmitted to the Analytics Services. The Analytics Services use Analytics Information to compile reports on user activity. The Analytics Services may also transfer the Analytics Information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process Analytics Information on their behalf. Each Analytics Service’s ability to use and share Analytics Information is restricted by such Analytics Service’s Terms of Use and Privacy Notice. By using our Site and Services, you consent to the processing of data about you by Analytics Services in the manner and for the purposes set out above. A full list of Analytics Services is available here.
